I, a perpetually poor student from the cold fells of Finland, have become quite the whiz at throwing together a functioning EDH deck with a shoestring budget. The years it took to hone my miserly deckbuilding skills would have been made easier if there was more material on the subject in the 'net, but alas, most writers seem to believe all players have nigh-endless funds. And so was born this blog, an attempt to rectify the situation and help those who wish to take up a fantastic hobby without spending themselves silly.
Don't let EDH become a game of who can throw the most money on the table! This blog, written by a long-time purveyor of the (in my opinion) best M:tG format, seeks to give you, the reader, an insight into the world of budget EDH. Expect a new decklist every Tuesday and Thursday, along with a study of how that particular deck can beat its more expensive cousins. Every blog post begins with a top-notch, expensive decklist and then presents a budget alternative, allowing you to substitute cards as your collection and/or your funds grow.
Sundays are a special treat: the last day of the week is marked by a post on the philosophy and fundamentals of the EDH format and M:tG in general. You'll learn what types of cards that are the best in a deck, what cards (if any) you should splurge on, thoughts on card quality, strategy and goals, and oh so much more. Even people more oriented to other formats can enjoy the Sunday articles, as they tend to concern the hobby as a whole.
So shuffle your deck, turn your dices to 40, pull out your credit ca- oh wait, you don't have to. Not here.
